The project transforms a section of open playa into a fictional conservation zone with the physical authority of a real public landscape.
A bridge crosses the absent river. Earth-colored boundaries trace the riverbed. White material, dust accumulation, light, shadow, sound, educational signs, and official field infrastructure make the missing ecosystem gradually visible.

A winding terrain intervention, partially covered by dust, visible through traces, edges, light, and accumulated belief.
PUBLIC PROGRAM
The Field Office
Reports, permits, ranger-style interpretation, volunteer duties, salmon naming, and interviews with available wildlife.
Habitat Funding Required
Help construct the infrastructure of belief.
Funds and in-kind support are needed for materials, fabrication, transport, lighting, projection, signage, documentation, and field operations.
